Dubai (UAE) / Saint-Imier (Switzerland), 30 March 2014 – The Dubai World Cup provided a magnificent end to the Dubai flat-racing season on Saturday, 29 March 2014. Longines, the Official Timekeeper for the prestigious day of exciting races, took the opportunity to present the Official Watch for the event, a model in its Conquest Classic collection. Riding Gentildonna, Ryan Moore won the Dubai Sheema Classic presented by Longines in front of one of the most elegant crowds of spectators. In addition, the leading owner, trainer and jockey of the Dubai World Cup Carnival, Godolphin, Saeed bin Suroor and Silvestre de Sousa received elegant Longines watches for their amazing performance. The event also saw the presentation of the Longines prize for elegance to Mrs. Jessica McAndrews.

The Dubai World Cup, held on Saturday, 29 March 2014, was a fitting and exciting end to the Dubai flat racing season. Longines is the Official Timekeeper for all the events organised by the Meydan Group, including notably this event and the Chengdu Dubai International Cup. The total prize money handed out on the day of the Dubai World Cup is the highest in the world, and the event is an absolute must for top jockeys from all around the globe.
