2005 British Flat Racing Awards by BHB

For the third consecutive year, the British Horseracing Board held a “must attend” event for flat racing. Following an opening speech by Richard Caborn MP, UK Minister for Sport, the awards where given in an Oscar-worthy ceremony supported with exciting video coverage from the winners.

The award for the “Horse Of The Year” was for “Motivator”, the Epsom Derby winner. Owned by a race club, a great number of Motivator’s owners gave “acte de presence”. Controversial, but impressive star jockey Kieron Fallon accepted his award for best jockey.
